Synagogues Seeking Contributions to Sept.11 Commemoration

'Strength and hope' to be theme of booklet.

The and area synagogues will mark the events of September 11, 2001 with a community commemoration on Sunday, Sept.11.

As part of the community commemoration the organizations are asking for submissions on the theme of “Strength and Hope."

The works will be included in a booklet that will be given out.

Submissions are due by July 30.

Acceptable submissions include:
• Drawings/paintings
• Photography
• Essays
• Poetry

(Children, Teen, Adult categories)

In addition, we are trying to amass a list of all community members who were lost on 9-11, as well as any first responders who risked their lives to help others.

All submissions can either be dropped off in the Family and Adult Center or submitted via email to Stephanie Ginsberg.
