The Y JCC will host a special discussion program tonight related to the recent unilateral declaration by the Palestinian authorities' request for an independent state.

1. The hosts a special program tonight at 7 entitled "Post Durban III and Palestinian Statehood: What is next for Israel?" The discussion will center on the South African conference 10 years ago which was denounced by many as a forum in which anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment were nurtured and flourished. David Newman, Executive Director, Jewish Community Relations Council of Long Island will discuss the implications of Durban III and significance of the United Nations vote on Palestinian unilateral declaration of independence.

3. There's lots to do today at the , including a free exercise/dance class with Carol Rodriguez. The program is at 4:45 p.m.

4. Beginning at 9 a.m. Nassau Community College and the Long Island Chapter of the American Italian Historical Association and The Order of the Sons of Italy in America, New York Grand Lodge, host its 26th annual Italian Heritage Day celebration. Admission free.
