Major Fire Reported in Plainview Building
Commercial building ablaze; many area companies responding.
A major fire in a commercial building off Newtown Road is being fought now by firefighters from around the area.
Plainview firefighters reported the blaze just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday in a commercial building at 18 Werman Court. The blaze has extended into the building's cockloft, firefighters reported.
Firefighters from Jericho, Bethpage, Farmingdale, Melvilleand Hicksville have been called to the scene.
