Town Board Names Michele Johnson To Board Seat

The Oyster Bay Town Board has named Michele Johnson to a vacant seat on the board.

Johnson, of Locust Valley, was a surprise choice at Tuesday's meeting. An attorney, Johnson, 38, is a graduate of New York University Law School. She is married to Randy Johnson, and together they have three children. Johnson replaces former Councilwoman Beth Faughman, who resigned earlier this year. Faughman is from Locust Valley.

At Tuesday's meeting, the Town Board also named Jim Altadonna to the town clerk's position vacated by Steve Labriola, who also resigned earlier this year. Altadonna was until Monday night the mayor of Massapequa Park.
