So, how does it work?

Toastmasters clubs offer a “learn-by-doing” workshop in which participants practice speaking and leadership skills in a friendly atmosphere.

Members learn communication skills by following a series of 10 self-paced speaking assignments designed to instill a basic foundation in public speaking.

Members can also learn leadership skills by taking on various meeting roles and serving as officers in the club and district levels.

There is no instructor in a Toastmasters meeting, instead, members evaluate one another’s oral presentations. Feedback and evaluations is key to the program’s success.
